Once Upon A Time...
(in 1994) I dreamed of an ideal and purrfect pet place, where everyone lives in harmony and everything is for the best! Happy doggies with wagging tails, purring kitties, bubbling fish, and wing flapping birds. So with a dream and a leash I started Head to Tail Home & Pet Sitting Services, a full service pet care provider in the Valparaiso, Porter County area.
A little about myself...
Hi my name is Tami and I am the owner of Head to Tail. I began pet sitting in 1994 when after the Title Search company I worked for decided to down size. I took a year off from work to figure out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
I have always loved animals and I have owned almost every kind of pet from a salamander to a pony named Jingles. At the age of 15 I joined Dr. Tursmans group for youths that wanted to become Veterinarians. Dr. Larry McAfee always tells me that I should have become Vet.
I took a course on animal care in 1995 and learned how look to for signs of illness. Perform CPR, tend injuries and much more. That and Dr. McAfee has taught me how to administer Sub Q Fluids and Insulin shots.
