Wishbones for Pets is a charitable program designed for pet sitters to collect
and distribute pet goods/funds for local pet shelters and other pet related
agencies in their own community. The program began on October 18, 2004
(approximately six weeks prior to Thanksgiving) by Janet Depathy of Under My
Wings Pet Sitting in Plymouth, MA.
Mission Statement
The mission of Wishbones for Pets is to offer a universal community service
program hosted by pet sitters that would like to collect and distribute pet
goods/funds for local pet shelters and other pet related agencies in their own
community. As pet sitters we care about our community, the pet sitting industry
and most importantly the animals.
The time frame for this event is October 15th to Nov. 27th. 2007 approximately
six weeks prior to Thanksgiving.
You may drop off item's from the ICS wish list (coming soon) or you may make
monetary donations by contacting ICS directly or through Head to Tail Pet

for letting me put up a collection bin and a coffee "bank"
to collect money. We did ok for our first time. Next year
we will get an early start and try to get the newspapers
to print a news release. Until next year!
